Like many
discriminating homebuyers, you may be considering
designing and building a custom home for your family.
Our job at Ed Saloga Builders is to take your vision,
turn it into a tangible design and home with the finest
construction and quality. This process, known as
design/build, removes layers of responsibility for the
project and insures greater quality control. It is also
cost-effective and time-efficient. Even more importantly
to you, the design/build process means that you have a
personal relationship with the company that created one
of the most personal items in your life - your home.
We will work with you every step of
the way, from concept to closing! Following is a brief
summary of this process:
STEP 1 - INITIAL PHONE CONSULTATION AND INFORMAL
INTERVIEW. We will determine if the location, style,
features and budget are things we can both work with.
STEP 2 - SITE INSPECTION. We personally inspect your
home site to help determine what type of home is most
suitable and what will work most economically.
STEP 3 - OFFICE CONFERENCE. We start with an overview of
the process. You are invited to bring with you your
"dream file" (pictures of homes, details or elements of
floor plans and elevations you have collected). We will
discuss your thoughts and ideas, show you examples of
existing floor plans, as well as provide you with
estimated pricing.
STEP 4 - SERVICE AGREEMENT. Both parties sign a service
agreement before proceeding with actual floor plans. At
this point, initial deposits are collected.
STEP 5 - PRELIMINARY DRAWINGS. We provide you with an
artist's rendering of the front and back of your home,
plus color floor plans. We will also provide a detailed
computerized estimate of the home's cost (within five
percent).
STEP 6 - WORKING DRAWINGS. After creating a working
drawing based on the information you have provided, we
will review it during a series of meetings (usually two
or three) to make changes as necessary until every
detail is in place. You are then provided with a final
proposal and price approximately two weeks after the
drawings are complete.
STEP 7 - ACCEPTANCE AND APPROVAL. Upon agreement of the
final price, we enter info a formal agreement to begin
construction on your new home. |
